Quartz countertops are fabricated using ground natural quartzite and a mixed cocktail of resins, polymers and pigments. Small amounts of metallic flecks and glass are added to create variety, which results in a wide array of colors of quartz countertops.

As an engineered stone countertop, Quartz offers some advantages that aren’t present in quarried stone. Quartz is a non-porous material, which means it does not allow bacteria to grow and resists against stains. Quartz countertops never need to be sealed.

The second advantage quartz has over granite and other natural stone is the wide variety of colors of quartz counters available. Not only can you have natural colors such as whites, blacks and browns, quartz is available in other colors such as golds or blues
